Steel 2006

Images from our Spring Steelhead trip
(March 30 - April 2, 2006)

On our way out the first morning, driving through Interlochen. Brian and his crew floating below Bear Creek. Temps were great (for a change) - 68 and sunny! Shore lunch is always a welcome event and as usual did not disappoint.

The second day was not as nice, fierce winds almost blew us off the water and the temps were dropping. Despite this Brian still managed to hook a nice little buck on a plug. Better than working... Fishing one of our favorite spots, the gravel run at the power line.

The third day was cold and damp. Brian nabbed this nice hen below Tippy. Great water, the fish just weren't in the mood. Trying to stay warm. Some of the old saw logs stuffed into the bank. Ghosts of times past.

A shot of the old railroad trestle bridge at High Bridge.

Do yourself a favor...RESEARCH it first!
